Annotated Bibliography 1
"Preschool." Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia, n.d. Web. 13 Nov. 2016.
(Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia, 1)
This article revolves around the importance and evolution of preschool. It enforces the idea that preschool is essential for a child’s “social, physical, emotional, and intellectual development.” As well as providing an overview of the benefits of preschool, it also provides history such as the increase in preschools during World War 2.
Although this is a .com website, I can conclude that this is a reliable website. It provides the publication information, as well as the source identification. I found this source through Galileo and it was publicized by World Book Inc.,Chicago and the source is Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia, 2016, 1p. I believe that encyclopedias are unbiased sources and are, for the most part, extremely reliable and being 2016, up to date.
This website is extremely crucial to my investigation. It provides history, facts, and the advantages of preschool. I can use this source to reference what exactly preschool is and why it is strongly encouraged in America. It gives me a deeper understanding as to what exactly defines preschool and its many branches within it, such as Headstart and why it is essential to a child’s development.

Annotated Bibliography 3
Kanter, Beth. "Why Preschool Matters." Parents. Parents, 14 Aug. 2016. Web. 16 Feb. 2017Overall, I believe that this is a very useful source. It gives great statistics and has great knowledge over this topic. Not only does it provide factual evidence, it also provides advice for different alternatives for parents such as what age is most appropriate for their child to begin school. I could use this website for its richness in knowledge, because it provides quotes from professionals as well such as that “there’s increasing evidence that children gain a lot from going to school.” This site also includes the benefits of preschool such as social skills, academic skills, etc.
